Branding
Creating a visual language
Your brand speaks volumes to potential customers long before you ever have a conversation with them. The visual language that you put forth is the first step to attracting new customers. With every project, we work diligently to understand your needs and what you want to communicate to ultimately create a visual language to expand your market share.
Color Kinetics
From small startup to serious contender
Color Kinetics introduced itself to the LED lighting world with its original “sun” logo. While the logo displayed the company’s unique spirit and charm, as well as emphasized kinetic motion, it lacked flexibility in application and a certain sophistication. To solve these issues, we streamlined the logo to its current state.
The mark itself can be used in spaces large and small and the simplified palette allows for infinite placement. The main corporate color is a metallic gray. This references the luminescence of the light while also encompassing the entire additive spectrum. A secondary palette of specified color gradients continues the bright spirit of surprise while allowing maximum flexibility of the brand.
As a result of this brand evolution, Color Kinetics caught the eye of Philips Lighting and was acquired in 2007.
